Our Story

The Heart Behind Love & Healing counseling

Love & Healing Counseling was founded from a deep and enduring passion to help individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with dignity, compassion, and clinical excellence. What began as a vision to create a counseling environment that feels welcoming, has grown into a practice committed to fostering genuine healing and lasting transformation.

Love & Healing Counseling was established by two siblings who share a unified vision: to nurture, restore, and strengthen the mental wellness of the communities they serve. Drawing from a diverse range of life and professional experiences, the foundation of the practice is both personal and purposeful. Leslie’s background includes corporate leadership and combat service in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, offering a profound understanding of resilience, trauma, and the complexities of the human experience. Joy brings extensive counseling experience through her work with the YWCA and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), contributing a strong foundation in community-based care. Together, we bring a unique and integrative perspective to counseling—supporting veterans living with trauma, couples navigating relational distress, youth impacted by racial and community violence, and individuals facing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges.

At the core of Love & Healing Counseling is a legacy of service and care passed down through our mother, Marie Grange; our father, Albert Grange; and our aunt, Dr. Kathleen Grange. Our practice reflects a lifelong commitment to love, service, and dedication to others.
